Yesterday I attend my first networking lunch at the Chesham Luncheon Club and was pleasantly surprised by the air of optimism of the local businesses that attended. I have to be honest and say I am not a great lover of networking groups since many that I have attended seem to be a hunting ground for eager young financial advisers with the sole objective of selling each other the latest fad in pensions and investments. However, this was different. There was a good cross-section of businesses and nobody tried desperately hard to sell me anything. (more…)
