I have recently return from a visit to Luxor in Egypt. Like most people I was awestruck by the sights of ancient temples but what really made an impression was the professionalism of the hustlers that gather around the tourist hotels. These guys are masters of marketing trying to convince you to ride in their horse drawn carriage, taxi or boat. They are the most persistent marketeers I have ever come across and never take ‘no’ for an answer. (more…)
